Not the online store for cheap and cheerful, but if you want a Classy, Stylish, Fabulous look , well made and well finished clothing using materials like cashmere and angora, this just has to be your number one choice.
With Italian fashion in plus sizes 16 to 30, Spirito leaves better known 'upmarket' retailers like Net-a-porter and 16/47 miles behind in our opinion. Free UK returns if necessary.

Thankfully Evans, the largest retailer of Plus Size in the UK, are getting their act together online. Their website has improved vastly recently, and their clothes styles have too. Good value as well.

M&Co
MandCo. although they have 300 High Street stores, are only recently online. Their present 'Plus' range, to size 28, offers styles aimed at the woman aged 30+ , who is after either single pieces or an overall look with accessories. Looks exceptional value in our opinion.

Marisota is another site aimed at the young plus size woman. Their styles are more Yours Magazine than Celebrity styles, and more "contemporary high street" than the vivid colours and cutting edge of Simply Be. They have a very broad range of styles and different fittings, so definitely visit if you usually have trouble getting an exact fit or shape. Arlene Phillips has launched her brand new range of clothing exclusively with Marisota.
Sizes 12-34

Julipa provides smart fashion that is cut to fit and flatter the mature woman. They have fashion for all occasions available in sizes 10-30 and stylish footwear in sizes 4-9, D to EEEE widths. Julipa always appears to us to provide value for money and choice.

Boden Womens Clothing
Boden are the fastest growing e-tailer of clothing in the UK for 4 years running. Although not a plus size clothes retailer as such, their wonderful, reasonably priced fashion goes up to size 20, and they have size 20 in almost everything. We like their site. Simply Be & Boden we would class as the best 35 yr old woman's sites. Simply Be caters for the average to plus size, and their clothes have flair, exciting designs and the latest fashion ideas in our opinion. Sizes 12-34

JD Williams is a site for the 45 -60 year old average to plus size woman. A little extra maturity to the fashion offering here than, say, Simply Be or Fashion World, but with more flair than the elegant style of the Marisota site. A very large offering of fashion here from size 12 to size 34, and with some limited selections to size 38

Fashion World is a site for aged 35+ in our opinion, with younger cuts and styles, but without the very bright fashion looks of Simply Be.

TESCO carries a good range of the latest womens clothing staples, at their usual value prices. Sizes right up to size 28 in the 'True' plus size range of clothes. Delivery £3.95 regardless of order size.

Chums are particular strong in traditional 'hard to find' dresses and full length coats. Aimed at ladies age 55+, they also sell the type of outerwear, underwear and nightwear styles that the now mature woman grew up with, to size 28.

Marks and Spencer
Last season Marks and Spencers had got some really nice Plus Size fashions but we aren't as thrilled at this seasons offering. Very reasonable value though, and they do have plus size to size 28.

With brands like Alexon, Heine, Kaliko, Clarks, Moda in Pelle, Together, Jaques Vert, Joe Browns and Van Dal, if you prefer fashion with flavour, you’ll love the detail on show in the Kaleidoscope collection.

The typical Gray and Osbourn customer is 50 something, well dressed, likes fashion and is fairly affluent. Most of the clothes on their website are available in a size 8 to 26.The designer brands that they sell include Fenn Wright Manson and Betty Barclay. They also sell Not Your Daughters Jeans which have been recently promoted in several women’s magazines, and that are only available in few outlets in the UK. Some pieces from certain designers are uniquely sold through them. Their own label clothing is only available from the website and catalogue. One of the nicest 'feeling' sites for woman's plus size clothing we have come across.We find that the way in which they display sizing info. under every individual top, skirt, cardigan or other garment makes getting the right size so easy.

Sixteen 47
Great Comedienne Dawn French, - but we're not admirers of her current plus size clothes, which we find dowdy frumpy and dull.

Catering for up to plus size 28, Bon Prix has got a fair choice. What they do really specialise in is pretty, fashionable tops at what we think are very, very reasonable prices
